Hesed found me through someone else first.
For years, I was the guy people came to for faith. Teaching catechism. Eight years leading in pastoral ministry. If you'd told me back then I'd walk away from all of it, I wouldn't have believed you.
Then I did.
Some things happened inside the church that I couldn't make peace with. I told myself that's what it was about. Really — without fully realizing it — all of that got pointed at God instead. I went quiet. Resentful, if I'm honest. Hurt in a way I didn't have words for yet.
That was my desert season.
The one who stayed through it was my partner — a Pentecostal, praying for a Catholic who'd stopped praying at all. She fought for my faith longer than I did.
Years passed before God called me back — not gently, through something painful in my family I wouldn't wish on anyone. That's when I saw what had actually been happening the whole time: He'd never left. He'd been sending ravens the whole time — providing when I wasn't looking, putting the right people in my path, even while I was resentful, even while I blamed Him for the mess.
Hesed is the word for that. A love that doesn't get tired. Steadfast, whether or not you're holding up your end of it.
We named this brand after that word because it's the only one that fit. Not "blessed." Not "favored." Hesed — the love that keeps showing up mid-collapse. And after.
The clothes work the same way the word does. Every piece is made to get worn in — softer with every wash, better with every year. Not falling apart. Settling into something steadier. Kind of like grace does, if you let it.
This isn't the wardrobe of someone who had it all figured out. It's for whoever's still in their own desert, still marked by whatever they walked through, still here anyway.
A love that doesn't get tired. Steadfast, whether or not you're holding up your end of it.
Whatever season you're in, this fits.
